Bandon Floods - Updates - Youtube flood clips

Please find below some info that was recieved from Mr Declan Waugh, local environment expert. As you can see, he has continued to keep the momentum going wrt learning from the floods and helping to improve things for the future.

On a personal note ... we need more people like Declan who are willing to give up their free time and use the skills that they have top help make a difference.

In other parts of the blog, a questionnaire was available to help complie a database of what happened during the flood ... unfortnately ...(As far as I can gather) very few people took the opportunity to record what happened to them. Please have a look at this link :... get involved ... have your say: http://bandontourism.blogspot.com/2010/02/bandon-flood-questionnaire-your.html

Below is copy of an email from Declan:

Included below are links for the detailed presentation I gave on the flooding in Bandon to Engineers Ireland and Cork Environmental Forum. I believe it will be broadcast on the net cork community TV station shortly. You can view the presentation here.

The OPW as well as the County Council have been given a copy of same.

As you can see from the clips, a lot of time and energy was spent by Declan to compile and create these ... well done on your great work! T Collins
