Bandon Updates

Bandon Town Map & Guide

The eagerly awaited new and updated Bandon Town Map & Guide has just been released.

25,000 copies of this map have been printed highlighting what's on offer in Bandon, the range of activities, a comprehensive list of business activities within the town and a sample of the quality of life within Bandon.

The Town Mayor, Liz O'Brien officially launched the map.

The material from the map plus more Bandon facts, figures and trivia will be uploaded onto the www.bandon.ie website over the next few weeks.

The feedback about the map has been excellent and a special word of thanks to the TY students and Mr Trevor Collins of Bandon Grammar School, main sponsors Bandon Credit Union, the sponsors without whom the map wouldn't be in existence and finally the hard working staff of Bandon Printers / Bandon Office Supplies.

Promoting Bandon
An initiative by the Bandon Business group will see a lot of hard coming to fruition with the upcoming 'Promotin Bandon' evening which takes place in the Munster Arms Hotel on Wed, July 16'th at 7.15pm.

The idea behind the meeting is help promote Bandon. There are various ways in which the town can be promoted and this meeting is planned to get a consensus from business people and other interested parties as o how best to do it.

They are not involving themselves with topics of a civic / political / council nature as their main focus is to promote the many strengths of our town.

Guest speakers will show how it has been done in other towns and also highlight the advantages of businesses working together for the common good. We all know the town has yet to reach it's full potential and this may be one step in getting there.
