Using the Bandon blog

We hope to keep readers up-to-date with current affairs relating to Bandon.

There is so much happening with the town that it is very difficult to keep up with current affairs.

We have all seen major changes in the development of the town over the last few years. Old and run-down area have received a new 'breath of life'. More and more businesses are setting up in the area. Talks of new roads and bypasses are no longer treated as a joke.

The town is changing.

Welcome to the www.bandon.ie blog.

Hi,

Welcome to the www.bandon.ie website and blog.

The purpose of this blog is to give you, the readers, a chance to find out what is happening in Bandon, Co. Cork.
We've just started the blog in early May 07 so please bear with us as we slowly but surely give you a taste of life in Bandon.

Only yesterday we saw a common sight in Bandon ..... a voluntary group launching another activity that benefits the town, the local area and the lives of those who live nearby.

The official launch of the 2007 Bandon Music Festival took place in the Munster Arms. Ms Carmel Nyhan had the honour of highlighting what exciting events are scheduled for the June Bank Holiday weekend. Mr Conor slattery spoke on behalf of Coolfadda as one of the supporters and sponsors of the event.

Bandon is very fortunate to have many civic-minded people who support local activities.

There is a link to the music festival website from the 'Local Links' section on our homepage.

Readers are advised to keep an eye on this site as well as the Bandon calendar as all tastes of music are catered for. C'mon, join the party and we'll see you in Bandon in early June.

Bye for now
