Cork to Swansea ferry

A ceremony took place to-day on board M.V.Julia at Ringaskiddy Ferryport to mark the inauguration of the Swansea to Cork Sea Route.

A blessing was performed by Fr.Campion,Chaplain to the Naval Services at Haulbowline and Rev.Brian O’Rourke ,Rector of St.Annes ,Shandon,Cork.
Those in attendance included Mayor of the County,Derry Canty,County Manager,Martin O,Riordan ,Deputy Lord Mayor, John Kelleher, Brendan Keating, Chief Executive, Port of Cork,Capt.Michael McCarthy, Commercial Manager,Port of Cork.,Noel Harrington,M.C.C.,John O,Sullivan,M.C.C.

Officials of Fastnet Line included new C.E.O.Phil Jones,Owen Barry,Chief Operations Officer,Capt.Ivan Walsh.

Members of the Board of Fastnet Line included Chairman,Conor Buckley,Deputy Chairman Stephen O,Keeffe,Robert Walsh,Paul O,Brien,David Good,Tim Looney,Noel Murphy.
All guests present were very impressed with the standard on board and amazed with the beautifully appointed facilities on board.

M.V.Julia sails from Ringaskiddy,Cork on Saturday,Tuesday&Thursdays and from Swansea on Sunday,Wednesday&Friday .
