Bandon Christmas Lights

The very popular Bandon Christmas Lights display will go ahead again this year despite a few setbacks.

The lights, which have proved to be such a success that many towns and shopping centres throughout the county and country have copied, will be lit up over the next week or two.

Fund raising is about to take place for the annual cost of erecting and taking them down. (Estimated @ c.€20,000)

The accounts from last year will be publicised over the next few days.

The Christmas Lights Group would like to thank all of those who contributed so generously last year and your future support is very welcome.

The group consists of a small number but has a lot of work to do.

Letters highlighting the project shall be distributed over the next few days and these will highlight various ways in which donations can be made.

The lights project has been done on a voluntary basis to make Bandon an even better place at this time of year. The whole project cannot take place without financial support. Any donation is greatly appreciated.

A proposed method of payment is a crossed cheque made payable to Bandon Christmas Lights and they can be handed into the Bandon opinion Offices of 76 South Main St, Bandon or another option is to hand them to Paul Collins of Coolfadda Ltd, Lauragh, Bandon or Trevor Collins at Bandon Grammar School.

Keep jobs local by trading local,

Merry Christmas,

TC
